I know what it’s like to feel like you don’t like your self because you don’t like your body. Or that looking in the mirror can be the difference between a good day or a bad day.

There are strategies you can use to change the way you relate to your body, and it’s not something you’ll ever learn out in the mainstream. It seems like we either have to hate our bodies (and constantly chase weight loss) or learn to “love” them (which can feel…fake).

This course offers you an alternative: body neutrality. It’s okay to simply feel like your body image is less important without the pressure to fully embrace how it looks.

Eight Weeks of Experiential Skill Building

  • Intro & Connecting

    Our first week introduces Body Neutrality as a concept and orients you to the philosophies that help me move beyond cliche and typical approaches to body image work. This week also incorporates the most potent strategy — connection — with personal introductions (not required) and Q&A.

  • Letter Writing

    Kick off the first week by addressing your body directly. I’ll guide you with prompts to create a dialogue between you and your body (you to your body and your body back to you).

  • Perspective Shifting

    Learn three tools for shifting your perspective on how other people see you and how you see yourself. (One of these tools is my personal favorite and most commonly used to this day.)

  • Body Language & Safety

    Somatic tools to change the way you feel in your body in day-to-day scenarios. Because we can’t just approach body image from a cognitive lens. To become embodied, we have to use the body.

  • Coping With Triggers

    You know that feeling when your body image goes visceral? Like when you see a picture of yourself that you weren’t expecting to see? This week addresses how to cope with that.

  • Embodied Movement

    Extending our somatic approach, we connect with our body directly (instead of staying cognitive) through a guided movement practice.

  • Thought Work

    Cognitive strategies to reframe the way you think about emotions. We use somatic approaches to address emotions, but sometimes our thoughts are actually creating suffering too!

  • Connection & Integration

    A second opportunity to close the course with specific questions and case scenarios. Hearing from other people about their experience of struggle and healing is one of the most powerful group sessions in any course.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Mondays at 1pm to 2:30pm Eastern Time (note that the first call only is on a Tuesday). If you have to arrive late or leave early, that’s ok! If you can’t make it, calls are recorded for playback so you can watch on your own time.

  • Yes, of course! All of my programs and courses are available to people anywhere in the world, as long as the time works for you! Many of my Australian and New Zealand clients use the playback recordings to participate due to the time zone difference. You can submit any questions via email for me to address on the calls.

  • Calls begin with a presentation or interactive workshop activity by me via screen-share. I’m pretty conversational though, so chat conversations are welcome and I address questions in context as we go. Every call offers an opportunity to ask questions at the end.

  • This course will likely not be available again until 2025. I run most of my courses annually.

  • “Feeling better” is subjective and dynamic. We will all have moments in our lives when our body image feels more intrusive and low. This course is designed to help that happen less often, and the more you use these tools over time, the more they work for you.

  • This course is intended for personal use, and since every professional has a body image, the course will be relevant to everyone personally! However, if you use this course personally AND share the tools and concepts with your clients, I ask that you contact me for the Professional Rate.

  • This course runs at $397 but is offered on presale at $297 for a limited time. For professionals, this course is $497.
